Tom Ray, Commetrex EVP of Sales and Marketing stated, \u201cSince January 2002, Commetrex has led the industry effort for T.38 interoperability when the company launched the T.38 Interoperability Test Lab. Now, Commetrex has introduced the BladeWare<\/em> Fax Interop Test Suite (FITS<\/em>), which supports the 16 tests we previously featured in our T.38 Interoperability Test Lab, to allow the OEM to perform the same testing internally\u201d. Ray also stated, \u201cBladeWare<\/em> FITS<\/em> is a ready-to-test system comprised of a client application based on the BladeWare<\/em> stand-alone IP-based media server that provides the developer with a T.38 fax<\/a><\/span><\/span> and G.711<\/span> pass-through interoperability testing facility. \u201c<\/p>\n

Ray also added, \u201cFITS<\/em> uses BladeWare<\/em> to place and accept SIP calls and to send-receive faxes for testing purposes. BladeWare<\/em>\u2019s fax capability is based on Commetrex\u2019 TerminatingT38, which is the same technology that became the industry\u2019s T.38<\/a> reference standard through its use in Commetrex\u2019 T.38 Interop Lab. Commetrex invented TerminatingT38<\/a><\/span> in 2000 and then opened its T.38 Interop Lab in January 2002. We found that scheduling a mutually convenient time for our test engineers and that of our testing partners was a major obstacle. But with BladeWare\u2122<\/em> FITS<\/em>, a developer can perform the same tests with the same reference platform to his own schedule.
